Radiographic Testing (ASME and API 1104) is a method of inspecting materials by using the ability of short wavelength radiation to examine any hidden flaws, cracks, or defects. Subtle variations in visible film density provide our technicians with the ability to accurately interpret any defect, as well as identify its type, size and location in the test object.
Liquid Penetrant Testing (Solvent Removable/ Water Washable) is a method that uses liquids to enhance the contrast between the test object and defect for visual examination. The liquids penetrate the material to detect casting, forging and welding surface defects, surface porosity, leaks in new products, and fatigue cracks on in-service components.
Magnetic Particle Testing (Wet and Dry Yoke) is a method that involves the application of fine iron particles (liquid or dry dust) that attract to leakage fields within the test object while it is in an externally magnetized state. The particles will then build up at the area of leakage and form what is known as an indication.
Brinell Hardness Testing (Indentation Hardeness) is a method that measures how resistant solid matter is to various kinds of permanent shape change when a compressive force is applied. This measurement characterizes the indentation hardness of materials through scale of penetration of indenter loaded on the test object.
